It's very common to promote 3rd party vendors or offer services to book in coworking and flex spaces. Using the Google Calendar integration, you can sync your service provider's calendars directly with your Resources, to show your their availability in the app.
For example, you might operate a Golf Simulator and want to promote lessons with a specific coach. You'll start by creating a Resource called 'Coach A'. You'll then need to integrate with Google Calendar and subscribe to their calendar to then simply sync their calendar with the Resource.
To sync a 3rd party's calendar to your Optix resources:
2. Once integrated with Google Calendar, request that your vendor invites you to their calendar. Feel free to share the steps laid out in Google's Help Center here with your vendors!
Note: When sharing their calendar link, they must select the Permissions 'Make changes to events' to allow for Optix to read their calendars' availability.
3. You will receive an email invitation confirming that your vendor has invited you to their calendar. Once you have accepted this invitation, you will see their calendar appear in your Google Calendar's 'Other' list.
4. Return to the Apps & Integrations tab and select the Google Calendar integration. Under the 'Resource calendars' section, you will now be able to select your vendor's calendar to sync with their relevant Resource.
Tip: If your service provider has a unique cancellation policy or preference for advanced booking notice, you can customize their Resource's Booking Policy.
