Deleting a location in Optix is permanent and cannot be undone. You’ll need to follow the steps below to protect your data and users before requesting deletion from our Support Team.
The following data is deleted when deleting a location:
User Data:
User Location Assignments and Settings
Operational Data:
All bookings and assignments at this location
All resources at this location
All plans associated with the location
Plan templates exclusive to this location
Marketplace products exclusive to this location
Tour calendars connected to this location
Location Data:
Basic information and settings for locations
Display of locations in the dashboard
All configuration parameters for locations in Optix's database
Note: This action is final. Once a location is removed, it cannot be added back again.
If a user’s primary location is deleted, their primary location field will be cleared. The user will still appear in your user list under All locations, but will no longer have a primary location assigned.
Before requesting to delete your location
Before requesting deletion, we will require you to delete all active content tied to your location, including:
Canceling any upcoming bookings or assignments
Deleting all resources associated with the location
Ending all active plans linked to the location
Deleting plan templates that are exclusive to the location
Deleting marketplace products tied only to that location
Removing any connected tour calendars
Before requesting deletion, we also highly recommend you:
Export any data that you want to preserve by either leveraging the Bulk export functionality or the Data Exporter
(If applicable) Bulk edit your Users' Primary Location to their new Primary Location. Users with a primary location tied to the one being deleted will automatically have it set to ‘None’. This ensures the users remain in your dashboard and aren’t lost after deletion
Remove or update any web widget links embedded into your website
Requesting to delete your location from the Support Team
Once all steps above are complete contact the Optix Support Team through either the chat icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen or via email (support@optixapp.com) and clearly confirm which location you’d like to delete (include the exact name of the Location). Our team will complete the deletion on your behalf and your next invoice will reflect the removal of this location.
Note: Once confirmed by our team. the removal will take effect immediately: Once the location has been removed, you can refresh your browser on your admin dashboard and the change will take effect immediately. Your users must quit the app, and re-open it for the change to take effect.

1. Can I delete a location myself?
No. To prevent accidental data loss, only the Optix team can delete a location after verifying all required steps have been completed.
2. What happens to users assigned to the deleted location?
They remain in your dashboard. Their primary location will be automatically cleared and set to ‘None’.
3. Why do I need to delete plan templates and marketplace products?
These items are often tied to a specific location. If they aren’t removed, the system will block the deletion.
