In order to allow for auto-checkins, the app uses GPS and Bluetooth. Both of these require location services to be turned on in order to operate accurately. GPS is used to indicate whether someone is at a venue. This data helps venue managers understand overall venue utilization. Bluetooth is used to provide additional information on location within the venue. This data helps understand space utilization. Both GPS and Bluetooth both help managers determine how efficiently their venue is being used. Location services can be switched on manually by following these steps:
Note: The below instructions are for Android Nougat or Marshmallow. If you are running an older version, location services are automatically turned on and are not able to be edited.
- From your device's home screen, navigate to Settings
- Select Apps
- Scroll down to your venue’s app
- Select Permissions
- Next to 'Location,' switch the toggle on
